Sara Hirsh é uma poetisa de orgiem Londrina, ex-vencedora do Poetry Slam do Reino Unido, ficando também em terceiro lugar no Campeonato Mundial de Slam, em 2014. Sara é uma dos quatro poetas no inovador e altamente aclamado Programa de Educação Spoken Word e está actualmente a concluir o seu mestrado enquanto escritora/professora na Universidade de Goldsmiths.
Sara já se apresentou no festival de Glastonbury, teve destaque na BBC Radio 2 e é produtora orgulhosa e dinamizadora do Genesis slam (único Slam de 3 rondas em Londres), bem como do Hammer & Tongue Waterloo. Sara estreou a sua premiado performance one-woman-show entitulado “How Was it For You?” no Edinburgh Fringe em 2015 antes de retornar em 2016 com a sua performance de spoken word a duas mãos «feitos à medida» o poeta Kiwi Ben Fagan. Recentemente regressou de uma tour de um mês, financiada pela Arts Council naNova Zelândia e representará o Reino Unido no Festival Internacional Portugal Slam.
A colectânea poética de Sara ‘Still Falling’ foi recentemente publicado através da Burning Eye Books. Foi descrita como “Irritantemente boa” por Harry Baker e Sara levará o livro por uma tour nacional neste Outono.
Assim como na escrita e na performance Sara está envolvida numa série de projetos e conduz regularmente workshops de drama e poesia em performance.

Sara Hirsh is a London based performance poet, a former UK Slam Champion and ranked third in the World Slam Championships in 2014. Sara is one of four poets on the innovative and highly acclaimed Spoken Word Education Programme and is currently completing her writer/teacher Masters degree at Goldsmiths University.
Sara has performed at Glastonbury festival, has featured on BBC Radio 2 and is the proud producer and host of Genesis Slam (London’s only regular 3 round slam) as well as Hammer & Tongue Waterloo. Sara premiered her award winning one-woman show ‘How Was It For You?’ at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2015 before returning in 2016 with the two hander spoken word show ‘Made To Measure’ with Kiwi poet Ben Fagan. She has recently returned from a month long, Arts Council funded spoken word tour of New Zealand and will be representing the UK at the Portugal International Festival of Slam in October.
Sara’s debut poetry collection ‘Still Falling’ was recently published with Burning Eye Books. It has been described as “Annoyingly good” by Harry Baker and Sara and her book will be touring nationally this Autumn.
As well as writing and performing Sara is involved in a number of projects and regularly runs workshops in drama and poetry in performance.
