Carla Veríssimo é uma das convidadas para o debate Arte & Resistência Feminina, onde se pretende falar sobre o papel da mulher na poesia.
Carla é natural de Leiria. Nasceu em 1979. É Bióloga, tem 38 anos e muitos sonhos.  Escrever faz parte da sua identidade. Facilmente a encontram de caderninho e lápis na mão, nas carteiras ou nos bolsos. Pudesse a Natureza não ter criado essa coisa de unhas – que detesta -, adorava ter lápis nas pontas dos dedos!
Viveu em São Miguel. Trabalhou em todas as ilhas dos Açores. Foi no arquipélago e para o arquipélago que escreveu “Entrilhas” (2013), o seu segundo livro de prosa-poética.
Em 2005 já tinha publicado “;”.
A convite de Enric Enrich escreveu os 9 textos poéticos publicados em “Atlantis” (2017).
A par com Juan Pedro Ruíz, venceu com a obra “Amálgama”, a 5a Edição do Concurso LABJOVEM – Jovens Criadores dos Açores, promovido pela Direção Regional da Juventude e organizado pela Associação Cultural Burra de Milho.
Organiza e apresenta o Poetry Slam Leiria, desde Março de 2017 e já pertenceu à organização do Poetry Slam Ponta Delgada, onde organizaram também eventos de Poetry Slam Júnior.
Fez o Poema Sacrifício na abertura do Portugal Slam 2014 e uma performance poética no Portugal Slam 2016.
Absorve culturas, espaços, vivências, que através de humor, metáforas e jogos de palavras, partilha com os demais. É comunicativa, criativa e lutadora. É sincera. Acredita no amor, no respeito, na liberdade.
Acredita que ainda que o mundo poderá ser melhor todos os dias, se todos os dias soubermos ouvir a terra, a água, a natureza e o outro.
Com a sua escrita quer deixar no mundo sementes de fazer pensar.

Carla Veríssimo is one of the guest poets for the open debate about Feminine Art & Resistance, where we intend to talk openly about the role of women in poetry.
Carla is from the city of Leiria. She was born in 1979. She is a biologist and is 38, and she has many dreams. Writing is part of her identity. She’s easily found with a notebook and pencil in her hand, in her purse or pockets. Nature could not have created this nail thing – which she hates – she would love to have pencils instead of nails in her fingers!
She lived in São Miguel, Azores, and worked on all the islands of the Azores.
It was in this archipelago and for the archipelago that she wrote “Tracks” (2013), hes second prose-poetic book. In 2005 she had already published “;”.
At the invitation of Enric Enrich Carla wrote the 9 poetic texts published in “Atlantis” (2017). Along with Juan Pedro Ruíz, she won with the work “Amalgama”, the 5th Edition of the LABJOVEM – Young Creators of the Azores Competition, promoted by the Regional Youth Directorate and organized by the Cultural Association of Burra de Milho.
She is the organizer and host of Poetry Slam Leiria since March 2017 and also took part of the organization of Poetry Slam Ponta Delgada, where they also organized Poetry Slam Junior events.
She made the Sacrifice Poem at the opening of the Portugal Slam 2014 and a poetic performance at the Portugal Slam 2016.
Carla likes to absorb cultures, spaces, experiences, which through humor, metaphors and puns, she shares with others. She is communicative, creative and a fighter. She is sincere and believes in love, in respect, in freedom.
Carla believes that the world can be better every day, if every day we listen to the earth, water, nature and the other.
With her writing she wants to leave the seeds of thinking in the world.
